Quantum Quick Rental Power plant goes into commercial Production next month

JESSORE, July 14 (BSS)- Quantum Quick Rental Power Plant, a newly installed 105-MW plant, will go for commercial production in the first week of the next month.

The trial production at the plant, built at a cost of Taka 500-crore, began on Tuesday. The plant is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted supply of electricity to Jessore and Khulna industrial belts for boosting industrial and agriculture.

Wing Commander(Retd)Belal Uddin, chief administrator of the plant, told BSS that 11 units out of 13 went into trial production.

The chief administrator further said 30 Chinese engineers and 100 technicians, 40 local engineers and 500 labors in three shifts worked for building the plant.

Quantum Power station, owned by furniture giant Otobi, is installed on a five-acre plot.
