Mismanagement at RMCH angers Dr Mijanur Rahman

RAJSHAHI, July 13 (BSS)- Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission Prof Dr Mijanur Rahman expressed his resentment over the prevailing mismanagement in the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

He expressed his sheer dissatisfaction while visiting the hospital to see for himself its service delivery activities here today.

As he went round different wards and emergency unit Dr Mijan witnessed various mismanagements like negligence in duty by the doctors, nurses and others concerned, unhygienic environment and
prevalence of touts.

He also showed his utter disappointment while visiting the kitchens. He asked the RMCH authority to improve the standard of service delivery to those seeking treatment at the hospital.

RMCH Director Brigadier General Abdus Sabur and Vice- principal of Rajshahi Medical College Prof Dayem Uddin were among others, present on the occasion.

Later, Dr Mijanur Rahman attended the 5th National Human Rights Defenders Convention hosted by Brotee at the RMC auditorium as the chief guest.
