Barobala union chairman takes oath in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Sept 22 (BSS) -The newly elected chairman of Barobala union parishad under Mithapukur upazila Alhaj Samsuzzaman Sarker Noya Mian was sworn in office here yesterday.

Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur BM Enamul Haque administered the swearing in ceremony at his conference room in cooperation with the office of Deputy Election Commissioner (DEC).

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Ruhul Amin Khan, concerned officials and local elite of the union Moniruzzman Dulal, Principal Shahinur Alam, union members Akhterur Rahman, Anisur Rahman, Abdul Awal and Nawshad Ali were present.

"With the yesterday's oath-taking, 69 union parishad chairmen, out of 70 were sworn in office in all the eight upazilas of Rangpur," Deputy Election Commissioner of Rangpur Regional Election Commission Office Subash Chandra Sarker told BSS today.
